The summer now seems like a distant memory and it’s been good to be back working for Arthog Outreach, which has mostly been ascending the Wrekin with various year groups.
The Wrekin In The Roman Times – Year 5
An ascent of the Wrekin by one of my sneaky routes to find out the past occupation of the hill (Iron Age fort) with lots of foraging along the way. The day was finished off by quick visit to the Roman Village at Wroxeter. A top day out according to the young people so a job well done.
In The Shadow of the Wrekin – Year 1/
A few fun days walking up the Wrekin making maps of the things we can see – just like Katie Morag does when she explores the Isle of Struay. We had quite a lot of fun drawing the maps and marling up all the things we saw.
