Round Up of 2014

Wow, just where has 2014 gone!

Chris Hughes Multi Activity Services (CHMAS) has had an action packed year providing lots of fun and adventures whether it be working a Year 3 Group on woodland walk or hosting high level leadership awards. The feedback received, has been exceptional with our customers telling us they really like the way our courses are structured and the quality of the coaching we provide.

We ain to build on this success and are very excited about the opportunities 2015 will bring. We are already planning a few extra courses all with our own unique style that makes them so special.

Highlights of 2014
There were many special moments for me in 2014and some of the most memorable are highlighted below:

  • Catching a rainbow

    Catching a rainbow

    Holding a rainbow over Bala Lake;

  • Completing the process to become a REC First Aid Trainer;
  • Running an Foundation Safety & Rescue Training (FSRT) course on my birthday;
  • Running a woodland walk for a Year 5 group and spending hours finding and following animal tracks. The session plan was thrown away that day;
  • Being involved with D of E Expeditions (it really is a privileged position to be an assessor).

Open Course Dates For 2015
Our open course dates for 2015 are still being finalised and I’ll let you know when they are. New for 2015 will be first aid courses and bushcraft courses along with our usual mix of canoe, climbing and hill walking courses.

We run more and more of our courses for closed groups so please do get in touch to discuss your requirements. These courses offer good value for money and are a great way to ensure sure you achieve your objectives.

If you have something in min then please do get in touch. You’ll be amazed at what you can achieve when you have the know how.

Projects for 2015

Having fun in the cave

Having fun in the cave

On a personal note, I am looking to complete, my Level 1 Cave & Mine Leadership Award, Climbing Wall Leading Award and 5* Canoe Leadership Award and if time permits I think its time for an expedition, either a classic canoe trip or something alpine in nature. Plans are beginning to take share and if the truth be known I’m already getting a little bit excited.

On the company side, I’m keen to develop the courses of Acorn Bushcraft and develop the CHMAS site to take online bookings.
