Office Social – Canoeing on the Montgomery Canal

Dave In Action

Every so often, I join forces with other local providers to provide activity instruction and on this occasion, I joined up with my friend and fellow outdoor instructor Martin Digby to provide a mornings canoeing for a group of Town Planners on an office social.

The venue for the trip was the Montgomery Canal between Lower Frankton and the Queenshead (6km). I hadn’t paddled this stretch of canal for some time and I was taken by the rich diversity of flora and fauna on display, a point that was commented on by most of the group.

Along the way we played a few games for the more adventurous, although for most it was sufficient just to stay out of Dave’s way (the boss) to avoid getting a soaking!
