Today, I was running a National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) session for my good friends at Arthog Outreach. The theme for day was efficient movement so we started the session with short video from the BMC Climbing Essentials DVD. Then it was on the wall to practice quiet feet, the three P’s (point, place & press). The difference in the groups climbing was clearly evident and they were soon cruising up the wall with ease.
After lunch it was time for a few games and at the request of the group we played shark attack, hoop challenge, catch which are all good ways to test balance and have a bit of un in the process.
