NCS Residential – Week 1

Personal Challenge on the Gladiator Wall

Personal Challenge on the Gladiator Wall

Its that time of Year again where I’m working for my friends at Class Adventure on their National Citizenship Service (NCS) provision. The NCS programme is open to all 16 to 17 year olds and has been designed to provide skills for work and life.

There are four phases of the project as detailed below:

Phase 1 – Adventure
An activity residential to get to know the team.

Phase 2 – Future
Another residential stating in university style accommodation cooking for yourself and learning valuable life skills.

Phase 3 – Making A Difference
Using the skills learnt in Phase 1 & Phase 2 you will get involved in a social action project in your local community.

Phase 4 – Graduation
When you have completed your programme you can attend a graduation ceremony and party to celebrate your.

I was involved in Phase 1 Adventure (team building) as an Activity Team Leader / Facilitator. During their time with us the group where involved in water sports, archery, fencing, bushcraft. climbing & abseiling, high ropes challenges and team building exercises to push boundaries and form a team.

I had a nice week and would like to wish the team every success on completing their NCS programme.
