NCS Activity Residential – Week 4

A successful fire lighting session.........

A successful fire lighting session………

Its that time of Year again where I’m working for my friends at Class Adventure on their National Citizenship Service (NCS) provision. The NCS programme is open to all 16 to 17 year olds and has been designed to provide skills for work and life.

I was team leading on Phase 1 – Activity Residential (Team Building) and the team I had this week was simply one of the best teams I have worked with (young people and the NCS Mentors). During their time with us the team got involved with numerous activities (abseiling, archery, bushcraft, climbing, fencing, high ropes challenges, team building tasks and water sports).

The firm favourite was water sports and not only because I got very wet (thrown in by the team) but because everyone challenged themselves in their own way

I had a lovely week and look forward to hearing how the team get on with rest of their programme.
