Instructing For Arthog Outreach

Rescue boat approaching

Working for Arthog Outreach is always fun and this my first real week back was an absolute pleasure! I took a group of Year 3’s canoeing and a Group of Year 5’s on a habitat walk and there was much laughter all around.

Canoeing at Simpsons Pool With Year 3’s
A challenging day out in rafted canoes at Simpsons Pool. We played lots of games, raced each other and a little bit of exploring to shrieks of laughter as the teams got to grips with manoeuvring the canoes. To liven things up after lunch we played a game of pirates and my group decided to leave me marooned on a ledge! Thankfully, another group came and recued me.

Hill Waking On the Wrekin With Year 5’s
This group of Year 5’s were out and about for a habitat walk and a mighty fine day it was too. We walked out of the centre through the urban environment, farming environment and eventually entered the woodland environment to look at different habitats, which included a visit to a spring, a cave a woodland hideaway for lunch, a marsh and the group were extremely pleased to find deer tracks and see a deer in the wild. The group really enjoyed the day and wanted to come back for more. A job well done in my opinion.

If you would like CHMAS to provide this type of activity for you and your group then please take a look at our Group Programmes page to find out more
