I can’t believe how quickly September has passed but then again, I have spent quite a lot of time working with my good friends at Arthog Outreach. This week, I was leading climbing and hill walking sessions.
Climbing at Grinshill
Quite a mixed bag of Year 5’s on this session, some very nervous and others brimming with confidence. However, by the end of the session everyone had achieved new heights and were grinning like Cheshire Cats with their achievements.
A Walk Up The Wrekin
Two very different groups. The first was a Year 1 Group who needed quite a bit of focussing and a Year 2 group who needed a bit of reigning in to keep everyone together. However. their woops of delight as we emerged from the trees to see the view almost brought a tear to my eye. On the summit they took a little time to identify some of the things we could see and munched their way through a mountain of bilberries! We also took a little time to play on the rope swing which was greeted with much enthusiasm.
A cracking week and long may it continue.
