Climbing and Gorge Walking in Llangollen

First rock slide

Today, I was working for ProAdventure in Lllangollen,  providing an introductory climbing session at Trevor Rocks in the morning and then running a gorge walking session in the afternoon.

The climbing sesion went well and followed the usual fomat of bouldering to warm up and check movement skills before moving on to top roped climbing and the delightful 100 foot abseil to end the session.

One of the jumps

In the afternoon, it was time to put on the wetsuits and head off to a privately owned gorge north of Llangollen. I had two clients for this Chris and Vanessa who were spending quality time together before getting married in a few weeks time. This particularly starts fairly gently before moving on to some rock slides, sumps and jumps to finish off which some folk find challenging. Not Chris & Vanessa though as they jumped into the pools several times before it was time to depart. They had a great time and hopefully they will be back for more in the summer months.
