CHMAS – Outdoor First Aid Training

Outdoor scenario in progress

Here at CHMAS, we really enjoy providing fun and informative first aid training and this was our second course in March. We like to keep our course sizes small so that there is plenty of hands on time and discussion.

CHMAS uses Rescue & Emergency Care (REC) for our outdoor courses. There is great flexibility with these courses, which means they can be e modified for the participants specific needs. This course used forest school scenarios as all the course members were responsible for forest school type activities.

This was a lively course with the candidates asking some really thought provoking questions. To see a few pictures from the course then please click here.

The feedback from the course was exceptional with one participant stating:

Chris was excellent at putting people at ease and making me feel confident to ask questions. His pace was great and activities were timed well so that learning theory was very quickly put into practice. I feel that the information given would be quickly put into practice back in my setting. Thank you.
