CHMAS – DofE Assessor Services

Llandrino Bridge and a bit of bumpy water

Llandrino Bridge and a bit of bumpy water

I was very privileged to be asked by a returning School to assess a DofE Canoe Expedition on the River Severn. The group were to paddle from Rhyd-esgun to Stourport  a distance of 129 kilometres or 81 miles) using wild campsites (famer’s fields).

I first met with the group towards the end of their acclimatization day and I got tell straight away that they where a well prepared and motivated team. I met with the group at various times throughout the expedition and they were always smiling and keen to tell about their adventure. Well I’m pleased to say the group successfully completed their Gold Canoe Expedition and I wish them every success in completing their Gold Award.

If you would like CHMAS to facilitate your expedition then please take a look at our DofE Page to find out more. We look forward to hearing from you.
