I’m quite fortunate to know quite a few caving buddies so I headed off to the Peak District to get in a bit of practice before my assessment the following day. Our venue for the day was Bagshawe Cavern which is a short walk from Andy’s (Moley) house as it has aspects of mining and natural cave passages.
I had a great time with Moley asking me to take him places on the passage plan and then talk about the features we encountered on the way. It proved to be a very useful day and some of the bits and pieces that I picked up I used the following day on my assessment.
The only downside of the trip was that I ended up with a wet foot which Moley found quite amusing as he had managed to stay dry
