Canoeing with Arthog Outreach

Showing great balance

On Friday, I was working for my friends at Arthog Outreach leading a canoe trip on the River Severn for years 5 & 6. We started out trip at Buildwas in glorious sunshine and were soon on the water. A little way into the trip and the wind picked up, which required impromptu rafts to be made up on the water to assist progress. After a bit of hard paddling we reached the rowing club just in time for lunch.

Before leaving the rowing club, we played a few games which was enjoyed by especially when one of the group fell in! We soon had him out of the water and in the sunshine he soon dried off. A short paddle later and we were in Ironbridge and the group took a little time to go for a paddle which seemed a fitting end to a great trip.
