On a wet and windy weekend in March, Chris was running a couple of canoe sessions on Llyn Padarn for a CCF group. Despite the windy conditions, all had a good time and successfully completed the British Canoeing – Paddle Start Award.
With a bit of creativity, to avoid the wind. the group soon mastered the fundamental skills to journey across the lake. The smiles on their faces at the end of the day showed just how proud they were of their achievements.
A slightly less windy day which meant we were able to go for a journey on the lake, learning the fundamental skills as we went. Some brave souls even went on to learn some solo skills in sheltered lagoon. We had a fab day despite the arduous journey back across the lake and again everyone was super proud of their achievements.
