Bronze DofE Expedition for Arthog Outreach

High on the Wrekin

High on the Wrekin

Back to back DofE Expeditions – a great start to the week.

Working for my friends at Arthog Outreach I was asked to supervise a Bronze DofE Expedition. Our route started from the centre through Shortwood and finishing at the Wrekin Scout Campsite which I have to say is a mighty fine site.

Day two of our expedition took the groups over the Wrekin and then back to the centre. One or two groups had a few minor hiccups but it was great to see then follow their training to resolve the situation. The views were particularly stunning and the highlight for one group was finding a slow worm basking in the sun.

Well, I’m pleased to say that all the groups successfully completed the practice expedition and I wish them well for the qualifying expedition later in the year.

If you would like CHMAS to help with your expedition then please take a look at our DofE page to find out more.
