It’s always nice to be involved in some CPD and I was recently at Plas Y Brenin for a Mountain Leaders Assessor Workshop and a mighty fine two days it was too. The first day was spent mainly learning about the various assessment strategies and tools how to apply them while on the hill. This proved to be a very thought provoking session.
On the second day, we were given some mock candidates to assess and to put into place what we had learnt from the day before. I had a lovely day and judging by the feedback received from the candidates so did they.
I have now attended to courses at Plas Y Brenin, both led by Mike Raine and I’m pleased to say they have both been excellent courses with lots to think about and incorporate into my future sessions.
