Activity Residential in Somerset

Tackling the pond crossing

Towards the end of of September, I was course directing for my good friends at Outposts running a two residential activity experience for year 7’s in Somerset. Some 250 young people attended the programme in two days blocks and a great time was had by all.

The programme consisted of a day at the low / high ropes course followed by an adventure walk to the campsite, a night walk (being introduced to the night sky or the legends relating to the area – OK we made most of the latter up) followed by marshmallows around the campfire. On the second day it was on site team challenges and the grand finale.

I had a tiring week but watching the young people develop over the two days as they got stuck in with the activities more than made up for it.
