Activity Residential at Condover Hall

Shelter Building – Selling Your Creation In progress

I had a rather nice three days team leading on an activity residential at Condover Hall for a group of Year 11’s as part of their induction to the sixth form. During the three days, the students got stuck into the following activities:

  • Bushcraft;
  • Climbing;
  • High Ropes;
  • Kayaking;
  • Orienteering; and
  • Raft Building.

I had a lovely three days working with the group, which included a wheelchair user, so a large part of my job was to successfully integrate them into all the activities. It never ceases to amaze me what can be achieved by a positive mental attitude and lots of encouragement (lets just say my NLP skills were well used over the three days).

As part of the review process, I had a thumbs up from the group in relation to how well I had done over the three which gave me a nice warm feeling inside.
