Following a successful canoe expedition with Class Adventure, the next day I was working on another programme as an climbing technician providing an abseil experience for a private school from London.
Early in the week, I had met up with a local climbing instructor (Brian) who gave me some useful information on where to find some ‘gutsy’ abseil locations at Symonds Yat. With this new knowledge and my own personal knowledge of the crag I has soon had a nice abseil set up that would be challenging but not too daunting. I had some thirty young people throughout the day and all but one completed the abseil and there big smile all around as the young people and staff celebrated their achievements.
I had a great day out and so did the young people from the feedback received- a job well done in my opinion. If you would like CHMAS to provide this type of activity for you and your group then please take a look at our main website by clicking here.
