Instructing For Arthog Outreach in June

Having fun in the Shropshire Countryside

With the hot weather its been an absolute blast working for Arthog Outreach with canoeing, caving and climbing and woodland walks all taking place in the beautiful Shropshire Countryside.

Canoe Sessions
With the exceptionally warm weather, its been nice to be on the water to cool off. Chris has been running sessions at Simpsons Pool and the River Severn and a marvellous time was had by all.

Climbing at Grinshill
A little creative thinking was needed for these sessions to stop the young people over heating as they climbed, belayed and gave encouragement to their friends as they reached new heights, with almost all getting to the top of climbs.

Woodland Walks
Our field to fork walks continue and it never ceases to amaze me of the awe and general curiosity of the Year 1 and 2 groups that I have taken out. The young people foraged along the way and a few brave souls even tried nettle / cleaver tea. A top day out with lots of laughter and smiling faces all around.

Caving at Ogof Llanymynech
With temperatures of 6 to 8 degrees underground this proved to be a very popular activity indeed with the young people rising to the route finding challenges and finding their way out of the cave.

A lovely mix of sessions working with some fan

tastic young people who really enjoyed being in the Shropshire Countryside.
