CHMAS – Round Up of 2013

facebook-logo2aWow! What an action packed year 2013 has been for Chris Hughes Multi Activity Services (CHMAS). We have provided lots of courses and activities and the feedback has been exceptional with our customers tell us they really like the way our courses are structured and the quality of the coaching we provide.

We are very excited about the opportunities 2014 will bring and are planning a few extra courses all with our own unique style that makes them so special .

Highlights of 2013

There were many special moments for me 2013 and some of the most memorable are highlighted below:

  • Running a buschcraft session for a Dads & Lads Camp;
  • Scrambling on the East Ridge of Y Garn with Scaredy Dave;
  • Canoeing on the River Dee on very frosty weekend in January with Jason;
  • Hosting 4 Star Canoe Training & White Water Safety & Rescue Training Courses;
  • Being involved with D of E Expeditions (it really is a privileged position to be an assessor).

Open Course Dates For 2014
Our open course dates for 2014 can be found here. To avoid disappointment please book early.

Group Courses To Suit Your Timetable
We run more and more of our courses for closed groups so please do get in touch to discuss your requirements. These courses offer good value for money and are a great way to ensure sure you achieve your objectives.

Projects for 2014

Enjoying the moving water element

On a personal note, I am looking to complete, my Level 1 Cave & Mine Leadership Award, Climbing Wall Leading Award and 5* Canoe leadership Award and if time permits I think its time for an expedition, either a classic canoe trip or something alpine in nature. On the company side, I’m keen to strengthen my links with the Adventure Ropes Course and Arthog Outreach as well as developing the courses of Acorn Bushcraft.

On the company side, I will be developing the website to include an online booking system, moving our stores to one central location and increasing the number of National Governing Body Awards that we host. It will take time to get some of this off the ground but it will be worth it in the end.
